Manager, Alliances & Channels

As an Alliances & Channels Manager at GBSG, you’re business minded and ready to take on the exciting challenge of driving company growth. You should exemplify all things related to the world of Alliances and Channels. You firmly believe that one plus one should equal three. You think businesses should grow exponentially, not linearly. You are passionate about long-term relationships that can change a business's trajectory.


The GBSG Alliances and Channels Manager role is to identify, negotiate and close long-term, complex partner transactions, as well as manage ongoing relationships with key strategic partners. You will creatively apply strategies such as resale, integration, bundling, etc. -- developing partnerships that drive both customer adoption and new revenue. As an Alliances and Channels Managers you'll have a unique opportunity to have a significant impact on the business success of a company that integrates what is new and exciting in the world of international business. Btw – this will be fun!


Specific areas of responsibility include:

  • Identify and close new partnerships to drive GBSG growth.
  • Project manage partner operations and grow relationships.
  • Work hand-in-glove with the Sales and Marketing organizations
  • Coordinate the technical and marketing launches of integrated partnerships
  • Score and report on success metrics for each partner on a regular basis. 
  • Supply new ideas to the management team that will drive more revenue and get you the kudos and bonuses you deserve.

Required experience and capabilities:

  • Proven experience and demonstrated ability closing opportunities, managing multiple projects and effectively negotiating agreements.
  • 7+ years of experience in software industry doing business development, strategic alliances, and/or channel sales.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker, able to blend technology vision and business strategy to identify new partner opportunities.
  • Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and architectural scenarios, and explain them to others concisely, in words and images

Highly desirable:

  • Experience with online directory/portal products
  • Related B.A./B.S., Master's or MBA

Customer Success Manager

Our Customer Success Organization is tasked with ensuring that each and every customer has a hugely successful relationship with GBSGuide.

We are looking for high-energy and passionate individual to join our growing Customer Success team. You understand the value of nurturing customer relationships; you advocate the principle of a virtuous cycle of customer success and improved revenue performance. If you love working with customers and have thrived in a role like this before, then we want to talk to you!

This role will engage with our most important customers post-sales, drive user adoption and satisfaction ensuring high retention. You will work with customers to deliver an exceptional on-boarding experience, realize the full value of GBSG


Responsibilities:

  • Function as the voice of the customer and provide internal feedback on how GBSG can better serve our customers.
  • Work with customers to ensure on-boarding, user adoption, retention and overall success.
  • Impart technical leadership & direction on all aspects of GBSG’s products & services
  • Assist in training customers on using GBSGuide to troubleshoot real time performance issues
  • Track accounts to identify churn risk and work proactively to eliminate that risk
  • Ensure any account issues are resolved quickly, utilizing resources from across Technical Support, Sales, etc.
  • Supply new ideas to the management team that will drive more revenue and get you the kudos and bonuses you deserve.

 
Experience:

  • 7+ years relevant work experience preferably with a professional IT services company or SaaS software provider.
  • Experience successfully managing large, complex, global customer engagements to completion and customer satisfaction
  • Strong ability to align technical concepts & features to business needs
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a high-growth, dynamic environment
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent from a top university

 

Highly desirable:

  • Experience with online directory/portal products.
  • Language fluency in French, German, Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic, Portuguese or Japanese.

SEO Manager

GBSG is looking for a SEO Manager to improve our organic traffic and shape our future SEO strategy. This is a hands-on search engine optimization position where you will use SEO tactics and analytical skills to understand and implement best practices across all of the GBSGuide.com web properties. The role includes a great deal of cross-team collaboration with marketing, product, and design team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute quality inbound link strategy
  • Conduct keyword research to guide content strategy
  • Monitor SEO efforts and conduct routine technical SEO audits across all company sites
  • Design experiments to test new strategies and opportunities for organic traffic growth
  • A/B test both layout and copy to increase conversion
  • Assist with on-page optimization by coordinating with copywriters, web design and development teams
  • Keep abreast of SEO and integrated marketing trends

Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience with SEO
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Familiarity with relevant SEO and web analytics tools (e.g. Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, MOZ, Google Search Console, Google Analytics etc.)
  • Mastery in SEO fundamentals like page titles, meta tags, headers, URL structure, etc.


Highly desirable:

  • Experience with online directory/portal products.
